NIT (Número de Identificação do Trabalhador), Identification Number of Worker, is a number for access to self-employed workers so you can pay benefits to the INSS. With NIT, self-employed, retired or disabled workers can refer to Social Security in a simpler way.
The NIT has 11 digits (###.#####.##-#), and the last digit serves to verify the number.
The NIT Generator multiplies the first 11 digits by weights, sums the results, divides by 11, and subtracts the remainder from 11 to get the check digit. If the result is 10 or 11, the digit is 0.
This tool was developed for programmers and testers who have the constant need to enter different NIT numbers in developing forms.
